Eco Friendly Packaging Products and Ideas
My wife, Lenora and I started our company in early 2007 and in one way, the timing could not be worse since our country was headed toward an awful economic depression.
At the same time though, it was an opportune time because of two markets that were ready to help change the world: sustainable packaging and direct to consumer packaging. More by luck than strategy, we knew we were very qualified to play a key role in both.
We realized that the interest in sustainability was just starting and many people were convinced packaging was a major culprit in the environmental problem. We were determined to become part of the solution, rather than part of the problem so we began sourcing new products and made sure they were not green in name only like many “green washed” products at that time.
That is where the Globe Guard® brand started and soon after the Globe Guard Products green packaging store. We then created Green Packaging Group which was a marketing co-op where several “green” companies were featured together. Over time the other companies faded away, so we elected to close and redirect that site but to save the blog collection. The ten years’ worth of blog posts and information were moved and added to this site. Don’t let the volume of information scare you, the blog search bar makes it easy to locate the packaging product or process you may be specifically interested in.
Enjoy your visit to Globe Guard Products and afterwards, if you are still hungry for knowledge, check out our other sites: www.SalazarPackaging.com to learn more about branded packaging, or www.DigitalBoxPrinter.com for everything you want to know about digital direct to corrugated printing.
Packaging can be complex, but we work to make it as easy as possible for the many start-ups who may be new to packaging. I believe we offer more resources and information than any other packaging supplier and we welcome you to visit our several web sites. If you are not sure about a direction or product, call us at 630-551-1700 or contact us via this link. Our trained and experienced sustainable and branded packaging advisors are eager to help you determine the best path for your specific needs.
